Price
The price shown before you buy: on the Tengo Plus screen in the app and on the App Store or Google Play purchase sheet. Prices in Japan include consumption tax:
- Tengo Plus monthly: ¥700, renewing every month
- Tengo Plus yearly: ¥4,800, renewing every year
Prices in other countries are in the store's local currency. If the price shown before you buy differs from this page, the price shown before you buy applies. We announce price changes in advance, under the App Store's or Google Play's rules.
Other charges
Internet data charges for downloading and using the app are yours.
Payment method
- App Store: the payment method on your Apple Account, as Apple allows.
- Google Play: the payment method on your Google Account, as Google allows.
When you pay
- Apple or Google charges your store account when you confirm the purchase.
- After that, each renewal (monthly or yearly) is charged on the renewal date.
- With a free trial, the first charge is when the trial ends.
When the service starts
Straight after the purchase. Tengo Plus covers a whole kitchen: everyone in it can use it.
Free trial
The yearly plan has a 7-day free trial; the monthly plan has none. The trial is offered once per Apple or Google account that has never had Tengo Plus, and only when the store says you are eligible. Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends, the trial turns into a paid yearly subscription and the yearly price is charged when it ends. We email the purchaser 2 days before the trial ends.
Term and automatic renewal
Tengo Plus renews automatically at the end of each period (a month or a year) for the same period, at the then-current price, until you cancel.
How to cancel
Cancel in your store's subscription settings. To stop the next charge, cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date on the App Store, or before the renewal date on Google Play. You keep Plus until the end of the period you have paid for.

Deleting your Tengo account does not cancel a subscription. Cancel it in the store.
Returns, cancellation and refunds
Because Tengo Plus is digital content, a purchase can't be returned or cancelled for personal reasons once it is complete, and cancelling mid-period does not refund the rest of the period. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their own rules:
- App Store: request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
- Google Play: request one from Google Play, under its refund policy.
System requirements
- iPhone: iOS 18.0 or later
- Android: Android 9 or later
- An internet connection. Buying Tengo Plus needs an App Store or Google Play account.
Offer period
There is no time limit on buying. If an offer such as a free trial has an end date, the purchase screen shows it.
